“You may learn much more from a game you lose than from a game you win.”
This section is working material rather than finished notes: the openings I am preparing and the weekly training games that test them, kept side by side so a bad game can be traced back to the line that produced it.
Emphases
- the Tarrasch French (3. Nd2) as White
- the Queen’s Gambit Declined as Black
- one White game and one Black game each session
- master games cited as reference points
Use
Opening Prep holds the current repertoire as playable boards, one branch per line, always oriented from the side I play. Training Sessions is the archive of the games themselves, annotated after the fact; its earlier entries record the Caro-Kann and Grand Prix repertoire that this one replaced.
